As a composer, something that gives me the greatest satisfaction is when I am asked for music for children to sing. It is a request that I have never been able to turn down. Being able to hear girls and boys sing has always thrilled me; so it is a joy to be able to offer them music.
The songs that make up this small collection were created for two types of singers. Vela blanca damunt de la mar and Cançó endevinalla were written for boys and girls in the first years of music school, while the remaining songs that you will find in this book, which are more simple and childlike, were composed for pre-school education students.
