I started creating compositions involving the clarinet or saxophone as a solo instrument around 1976, and they have grown in number to the present day. Among the soloist and orchestral works, I would like to highlight the two concertos for clarinet
and orchestra and the subsequent Concertino for Clarinet and Strings. In 2020, I wanted to further expand this catalogue with a piece for solo saxophone; as a reference I took a concert for saxophone and orchestra that I wrote some years ago and the result was a new reorchestrated and extended concerto.
