I believe that one of the most productive moments of learning to play the piano is when a student can play with their teacher. The best way to transmit and teach all the concepts being studied is through practical examples.
I have created these ten piano exercises for this reason. They start out with easy exercises for first course students where teachers and students can play together only using the first five notes of the scale of C.
As the pieces are all short studies of 8 or 16 bars, I have included a greater focus on rhythm and articulation.
My aim with these exercises is that a beginner can learn about modes, get to know different piano styles, discover sharp and flat notes, and work on legato and staccato exercises, accents, offbeats, dynamics and other important aspects of piano playing.
