He was born in Sabadell in 1966. He began his music studies in the Conservatorio Municipal de Música de Sabadell, where he studied and obtained his piano degree with Glòria Peig. Afterwards, he continued his harmony, counterpoint, fugue and composition studies with Benet Casablancas and Josep Soler, and his orchestra conduction studies with Salvador Mas.
At the same time, he also worked on choral conduction with Manuel Cabero, Pierre Cao and Laszlo Heltay, among others, in different national and international courses. During the 1995-96 course, he studied in Sweden with the conductor Eric Ericson.
Currently, he works as a direction pedagogue in Barcelona. As a composer, he basically works on vocal-instrumental music, and has been awarded the Premios Reus of compositions for children choirs three times.
He has conducted several vocal and instrumental groups, among them the Agrupació Coral Cardedeuenca, Coral Belles Arts de Sabadell, Coro de Voces Blancas del Conservatorio de Badalona and the Orquesta de Cámara del Conservatorio de Igualada. From 1991 to 1995 he has been the titled conductor of the Coral Cármina de Barcelona. In January of 1990, he founded the chamber choir Lieder Càmera de Sabadell, and he musically conducted it. In 1999, he won one of the prizes of the Premis Sabadellencs, which are given every year by the Jove Cambra de Sabadell.
In 1998, he was named director of the Orfeó Català.
