Laura Llorca
Laura Llorca Ponzoña (1968) was born in the town of Oliva of the province of Valencia, Spain. She studied flute at the Conservatorio Superior de Música 'Joaquín Rodrigo' in the city of Valencia, recieving the Título Superior with the highest qualifications. After recieving her degree, she continued studying with variety of recognized flute soloists. As concerto soloist, she has performed with the Orquesta de Córdoba and the Calibran Chamber Orchestra. In 1992 she joined the flute section of the Orquesta de Córdoba, becoming flute soloist in 2004.
She also studied composition with Alfonso Romero at the Conservatorio de Córdoba, recieving the Título Superior in 2003.
With a variety of works premiered through out Spain, other noted chamber works are 'Shostak' for string quartet and 'El burrito' for flute and piano.
