Suite-Collage is a symphonic instrumental piece, which I wrote looking at the instruments as soloists, and with an eminently counterpointing writing. Also, complexity and speculation in the sphere of rhythm are predominant. This work, which I initially wanted to title “Concert for instrumental ensemble”, presents a 44-piece line up made up of well mixed blocks: the rich and wide wind family, the percussion, the important strokes of the piano - so well integrated into the percussive character as well as in the more lyrical -, and the inclusion of the double-basses as the integrating voice in the different textures.

This 18 minute long work is composed of 5 movements, all of them specially contrasting both for their character and the colour of their writing, alternating the presence of tonality, serial aspects and polytonality. A perspective of a conscious, eclectic personality, to enter a succession of both continuing and opposing atmospheres.
