Songs are an element of folklore which somehow represents an expression – I dare say intimate – of a people’s way of being. They are so, both in their lyrics and their music.
Thus, we ought to know our own songs. I am sure that, as we sing our songs, we will find in them an inner reverberation, which will let us better know ourselves as part of the Catalan people, at fight since the 10th century.
It will not be hard to cherish the songs in our crowded repertoire, for they are of a great beauty.
When you grow older, you will not regret knowing them.
