These four small pieces for recorder trio based on popular American melodies were created for the recorder class of the Municipal Music School of Sabadell. Although they can be performed separately, they can also form a small suite.
It is a challenge for the classroom to have music available that inspires students. These melodies, which seem “modern” to young people, have the appeal of the music that they like to listen to and, therefore, to perform.
