The diatonic accordion, who saw the light of day in Europe during the XIX century, has been for many years a quite popular instrument in Catalonia: throughout our comarcas (regions), towns and in country houses we still can find some old exemplars, which had been played in a self-taught way by the older people of that place. During the last years, mainly thanks to the accordionists’ meetings of the town of Arsèguel (Alt Urgell), we have had the occasion to get to know some of the musicians who had cheered up the balls with their little accordion, and we have had the opportunity to see how the music of this instrument still makes young and old dance, leaving children feeling curios within a vibe in which nobody is feeling out of place.
The first edition of this method was released in 1987. We now present its second reviewed edition.
