Dos soliloquis per a dos pianos

During the year of 1972, I composed a series of 7 Soliloquies for different instruments. All of them share a deeply intimate and contemplative mood. Quite often they go beyond the nature of the monologue to turn into an attempt at some sort of a dialogue whithout an answer. In the first Soliloqui for piano, passages of pleasant reminiscence alternate with others of bitter sadness and pain which shortly cast their shadow over the first ones. In the second Soliloqui, one can find within the general frame of the composition three different parts. They all start similarly, but their tone and shading change, so that the first one could be defined as predominantly exclamatory, whereas the second could be described as interrogative, and the last one as conclusive.
