(Three Summer Pieces)
This work was originally written for piano-four-hands, but it was later converted into this duo at the request of some clarinettists.
The first movement expresses a light melodic character, the second is rather more meditative and is written with dodecaphonic leanings in the musical language, while the third movement has rhythmic features that recall certain Bartok dances.
