The edition is based on the manuscriptscore that is preserved in the library of theMunicipal Conservatory of Barcelona. It is titledSol ixent. Melodia per violoncello y piano per Albert Galimany (Rising sun. Melody for cello and piano by Albert Galimany)

The manuscript presents differences between the bow slursfor the cello voice in the full score and those of the short score for the cello.

In this edition I put forward my proposal for fingering and bowing. The original bowing in the manuscript can be referred to in the scan of the manuscript reproduced at the end of this edition. The piano part has been revised by Marta Augé who has also included her proposal, adding phrasing slurs.
