This work is intended as a little 'bestiary' in which the composer uses a simple, humorous and somewhat 'naive' musical language to narrate imaginary stories aimed at and audience which is also imaginary.
The work is divided into five linked parts: The Ant ' The Flea ' The Firefly ' The Cricket ' The Mosquito. Each is a reflection in sound of the title of the various short pieces that make up the work.
