Sonata for piano

Contents
This work was written in response to a request from the highly regarded conductor Pedro Alcalde for the entrance audition at the Julliard School. It was later given its first performance by Jordi Vilaprinyó, who recorded it on a compact disc.It is divided into three movements: the first is somewhat reminiscent of impressionism, the second has a rather jazzy tendency, and the third features a free dodecaphonic language though without excluding tonal passages.
