“Trànsits” was conceived as a sort of intimate diary in which to write down the impressions of the soul, which is sensitive and therefore deeply vulnerable to the violence of daily life. “Trànsits” seeks a direct expression of the soul’s pain and screams in its purification process, while aspiring to the final catharsis. Harsh without appealing to cruelty and mystic without turning to religiousness, “Trànsits” wants to question the performer and, through him, any listener showing an open sensitivity. This piece was premiered by the Catalan pianist Gerard Pastor, who performed it memorably and on a high artistic level.
