We decided it was essential to make a video recording of all the songs in Catalan to allow the listener to follow the sheet music and song on the screen and to enable these compositions to be heard and enjoyed around the world. Various members of the Bonet family have participated, lending their voice to these poetic readings. We have grouped the pieces into different cycles following the organization Narcís Bonet himself used.

This complete publication of Songs for Voice and Piano by Narcís Bonet includes all the songs Narcís wrote between 1944 and 1952, most of which were composed in Paris while he studied with Nadia Boulanger, and between 1989 and 2010 after he met his second wife, Hélène Giraudier.
Most of the songs were written for poems by great Catalan poets such as Joan Maragall, Tomàs Garcés, Marià Manent, Guerau de Liost, Jacint Verdaguer, Manuel Bertran i Oriola, Josep M. Folch i Torres, M. Antònia Salvà, Manuel Trens, Clementina Arderiu, Carles Riba, Manuel L. Acuña, Joan M. Guasch, Joaquim Ruyra and Josep Carner. Others are based on works by poets from different origins such as Vicente Aleixandre, Rainer M. Rilke, Paul Verlaine and Diego Sabiote, or traditional songs and poems.
Some of the songs included in this complete collection have versions for voice and a small instrumental group or for voice and orchestra too. These have been published separately in a series of individual volumes related to each cycle of songs.
