12 Waltzes Op. 3 No. 2
This collection of waltzes was produced by the composer for educational purposes, even though the pieces are also suitable for concert performance. All of them are based on a tonal approach, and can be tackled by students going through their early studies, thus enabling teachers to use them at various levels, depending on the abilities of the students concerned.
On account of the clearly educational nature of the works, the composer recommends teachers to bear very much in mind that the pieces are framed in waltz form simply as a means of exploring various keys and bringing in issues associated with piano technique such as the independence of the hands, scale-playing and so on.
